Installation Steps:
1. Choose a feeler gauge you think will fit in the gap.
2. Slide the gauge into the gap you’re measuring to check for friction.
3. Pull out the gauge and insert the next size up if you don't feel friction.
4. Use 2 feeler gauges simultaneously if you can't find the right fit.
5. Read the measurement printed on the gauge to determine the gap size.
6. Add the measurements together if you used multiple feeler gauges.
7. Oil the feeler gauges after using them to prevent rust and sticking.
8. Measure the gap between the electrodes on a spark plug.
9. Use feeler gauges to find the gap distances on piston rings.
Usage Tip:
Please clean up the machine before measuring. It shouldn’t be measured when the machine has high temperature. Your action should be light and you shouldn’t insert it forcefully when measuring.
What is feeler gauge used for?
A feeler gauge is a hand-held tool used for measuring gap widths between two objects that are close together.
They are extremely popular  when requiring very accurate clearance description between two parts where a caliper or tape measure would not be able to fit.
Measure the gap between the electrodes on a spark plug.
Locate the curved metal bar on one end of your spark plug, also known as the ground electrode.
Underneath the metal bar is a small cylindrical rod called the central electrode.
Put the feeler gauge in the gap between the ground and central electrodes so you can find the measurement.
Compare the measurement to specifications of your vehicle, and adjust the gap if you need to.
